IRINA TWEEDIE (BIO)

The Paradoxes of Mysticism CD Cover The Paradoxes of Mysticism
Recording of a talk given by Irina Tweedie in about 1985 or 86.

"True religion is a practical mysticism which finds God not only in the silence of the soul but also in all the affairs of life. The only mysticism that appeals to me is the kind which finds God in all things, in all men and in all experiences, and which goes out into the highways and byways and bears the heat and the burden of the day."
— Henry Thomas Hamblin, as quoted from the recording

LLEWELLYN VAUGHAN-LEE (BIO)

This_Moment_in_Time NEW: This Moment in Time
Talk given by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, October 2011

What is the meaning of this moment in time? Spiritual teachings tell us that time is an illusion and only the moment is real. And yet there are moments in our individual and collective destiny that offer a unique opportunity, a possibility for real change. What is this moment in time calling for? Are we awake, fully attentive to the changes happening around us? Are we able to listen to the real need so that we can step through the door that is being opened?

Prayer is a way to be with God. journey_back_to_god The Journey Back to God
Recorded in London, UK, January, 2010

This talk explores the journey back to God, and how it takes place “where the two seas meet.” This is the meeting of our human and divine nature, which happens within the heart. We are drawn deeper and deeper into the ocean of divine love, and yet remain with our human longing and need, with the ordinariness of our everyday self. It is in the mysterious combination of these two seas that our journey takes place.

Why Dreamwork CD Cover Why Dreamwork?
Recorded at a Group Meeting in Fall, 1999

Dreamwork is the modern equivalent of the ancient Sufi teaching stories.
— Irina Tweedie

Through dreamwork we connect with a hidden part of ourself, with the wisdom and guidance of our true self. We also work to reclaim our symbolic consciousness, the forgotten feminine mode of thinking through which the deeper meaning of life reveals itself. And for the mystic the practice of dreamwork is a preparation for the work of catching the divine hint, reawakening the mystical consciousness through which the signs of God become known.
